Teacher Fiona Molumby is among 50,000 people across the world to be selected to volunteer at the Olympic Games in Brazil.
Mrs Molumby, Religious Education Teacher, will spend 10 days working at the Olympic Golf course in Rio De Janeiro in August.
She is one of 50,000 volunteers who have been chosen from 151 countries but the majority will be Brazilian, making up 82 per cent of the volunteers.
Mrs Molumby, who has taught at Saint Benedict CVA for 15 years, said she was thrilled to have been selected.
She said: “I received an email saying that I had been successful and I was ecstatic. I will be working at the golf course, looking after the golfers. It’s so exciting and I love golf.
“It will be a lot of hard work; we have to go out and have three days of training before we start work.”
Mrs Molumby (pictured with presenter Clare Balding at the London Olympics) decided to apply to volunteer in Rio after working at the Olympic Games in London in 2012, when she was a driver, and at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in 2014.
