Remote Learning

We have produced a remote learning policy, as well as a more detailed look at what we expect remote learning to look like when we have to use it, including important information about keeping our pupils safe: remote learning plans – overview, safegaurding and subject detail.

This includes information on who to contact if you have any concerns with remote learning.

Face Coverings – Update

Derby is now designated a Tier 2 area.  This means that we are required to wear face coverings when moving between lessons, at break and lunchtimes and on the bus.

This has been our practice since September, so for us, there are no changes as a result of moving into Tier 2.

Pupils and staff will not wear face masks during lessons.

School Transport

Notts and Derby will continue to run our school buses as normal, following their usual routes and timetables. All pupils using the school bus must wear a face covering unless they are exempt from doing so. Those who are exempt must communicate with Miss Cwynar prior to returning to school.

As we operate a dedicated transport service, the DfE guidance therefore does not limit numbers on buses. However, wherever possible, we encourage parents and carers to make alternative transport arrangements in order to reduce the numbers travelling on these buses.

All pupils will be seated in dedicated year group locations on each bus.  There are extra buses for the busiest routes and Notts and Derby have secured funding for bus marshalls to travel on different routes each day.

Drivers will have distancing procedures in place eg glass screens and loading/offloading procedures to limit contact.
